Waterman introduced the L'Etalon  (The stallion) model in 1996 as a high quality medium price pen. Actually this model is very well balanced and is characterised by a very elegant and sober design. The model was offered with enamelled cap and body with 4 layers of lacquer and a layer of vanish to enhance the brightness of the colors  and durability.

Colors are black, blue, green and burgundy red.

Two high end version in precious metal were offered, too: sterling silver (smooth) and with 23 ct gold plating, with a basketweave pattern

The main features of this model are the beautiful linear and robust design, the large spear-shaped 18 ct gold nib and the  high quality 23 ct gold plated metal trim.

This Waterman L'Etalon is in excellent condition with no signs of use. It is fitted with a beautiful 18 ct gold nib, grade B
