WATERMAN 42 with 18 KR Italian checquered filigree overlay

Extremely beautiful example of a richly ornated Itlian 18 Kr overlay on a Waterman 42 safety pen. The decoration is developed with white-tone filigree square tassels on a rosegold background with guillochè decoration. The result is a very impressive and rich pattern.

The cap top sports the typical high-relief rose which is mostly found on overlays produced by the Milan-based Cavaliere company.
