NETTUNO 1911 Limited edition

The Nettuno company was founded in 1911 in Bologna by Mr. Umberto Vecchietti.

The company manufactured high quality fountain pens well into the 50s when it eventually had to stop production. The Vecchietti pen shop has however  remained active in Bologna ever since, being run first by Mr. Vecchietti's daughter and nowadays by his nephews.

The brand Nettuno was revived in the 90's and a few limited editions were produced.

This pen is part of a limited edition of 911 pieces which was manufactured in the late 1990's. The blue striated color recalls the sea and the metal details are meant to recall the shape of Neptune's trident. It is a great looking pretty large piston filler with a beautiful 18 ct gold nib.

It is unused and it comes with its original wooden presentation box
