OMAS EXTRA OGIVA 557 OVERSIZE - 1940s
In 1948 Omas revised the design of all its models and introduced a line of piston fillers called Extra. These were available both with facetted and cylindrical design in three sizes: 555, 556 and 557.
Extra 557 models are nowadays very rare and desirable as, to a certain extent, they equal in size modern pens, while the standard 556 size can be considered too small for large hands or for users accostumed to the big size of modern pens.
This Omas Extra Ogiva 557 is a nice and substantial pen in superb condition. There are no damages nor brassing, and the barrel imprint is very fresh. It looks as if the pen has never been used.
It is fitted with a fantastic very flexible EF nib which is extremely pleasant to use.
The pen comes with its original presentation box.
